Faresin Industries: heavy investment, research and a clear path ahead

by Daniela Grancini

More than 2.5 million euro invested in research and development in the three years 2009-2012 and almost 10 million to increase the productive capacity of the company with innovative technology that is unique in its field. Investing in people and in the capacity for teamwork, these are the cornerstones of Sante Faresin, with a focus on capturing the strong foreign demand for mechanisation in the primary sector

The industrial premises of Faresin Industries, a company run by the Faresin family with its headquarters and production facilities in Breganze (Vicenza) is a business that has achieved rapid expansion in recent years in global markets with demand offset by a parallel growth in the production facilities.

Concentrated in Breganze, Faresin Industries today consists of 5 plants containing 3 production lines giving a total of over 24,000 square meters of indoor premises.

Approximately 150 employees with a very low average age and a high level of education.

A turnover that is more than double the level recorded in 2009, when the effects of the global crisis of 2008 began to be felt and that, with reference to the targets of the company, should approach 40 million euro in 2013, with an increase over the previous year of approximately 20%.

An economic result of the group that, according to the forecasts, should further double over the next 5 years with a doubling of the production units by 2017.

These were the numbers presented to the business convention international audience by Sante Faresin, president of the group of the same name and co-founder together with his brother Guido of the first welding workshop, a seed that has developed into the current industrial success.

The dealers, the distributors and the customers, consolidated and potential (over 400) invited to the Faresin Industries convention arrived in Italy from over 40 countries in 5 continents, speaking more than 20 different  languages.

Sante Faresin does not want to talk about crisis and recession: «For us it revealed itself to be an opportunity because it allowed us to replan a profound change and react immediately».

And it was with this determination that the world distribution network has been brought together under the slogan, «Leaders in innovation, together», a message that encourages all the collaborators, inside and outside, to work jointly for reciprocal success. This is another of Sante’s convictions: «It is only with teamwork that one can be an entrepreneur in a successful company».

Innovation, technological growth, an increased workforce, the commercial decisions, the alliances and the constant investments in research and development have made it possible to differentiate two distinct product lines (for building and agricultural sectors).

The convention has also been the occasion to recall an anniversary: Faresin Industries was established in Breganze in the Province of Vicenza 40 years ago on the initiative of Guido and Sante Faresin, who set off together with the same dream and later, following the expansion of the company, dedicated themselves to separate parts of the business: Sante to Faresin Industries Spa and Guido to Faresin Building Spa.

The origin of the turnover clearly demonstrates the global scale of the company: today, over 80% is generated abroad and the forecast for 2013 indicates an output of 800 machines with 142 employees.
